When will I get to see and download my photos?
We totally understand your excitment to see your photos and to get to share them! Our typical turn around times for editing and delivery are about 1 week for family and headshot sessions. We know what it's like to be excited for your photos and don't want to make you wait!
I never know what to do when I'm having my picture taken, can you help me?
Yes! We have a wide variety of "tools" that we can use in the form of prompts to ask of you during the session to help you relax and get more comfortable in front of the camera. We've been doing photography for more than 8 years and have a lot of tricks and tips!
Do you deliver every image you take?
No, we do not. We go through every image from your session and curate the best of the best.
We make sure each photo we send has the sharpest focus and is edited to our classic style. We love to incorporate candid photos but won't send you any that have unflattering facial expressions. This process takes time on our end, but is definitely worth it in the end.
What if I don't know where I want to take photos?
We have been photographing in the Madison, Wisconsin area for more than 8 years and know a lot about the area! We'd love to help you pick a location based on your preferences and the results you are looking for.
From a more urban feel on State Street in downtown Madison, to the rolling hills of the Pope Farm Conservancy, we have done it all! We can help you find the perfect scenery with our long list of potential locations.
How will my images be delivered?
We deliver your photos using a site called Pixieset.com which is a gallery website where you can view, download, favorite, share, and purchase any (or all!) of your photos.
Will I have rights to all my photos?
Of course, they are all yours! You have the right to share, download, and print all images. We just ask that you do not sell your images for profit or publication without our written consent.
How can I pay for the session?
We accept cash, check, card, Venmo and PayPal.

How do you photograph weddings?
We love being by your side for every moment of your big day. As a husband and wife team, one of us can follow each of you on the big day and not fear for awkward moments while getting dressed or during wardrobe malfunctions. We will help you organize the timeline for your day, make sure every formal shot you want is taken, and capture little sprinkled candid moments along the way.
We make sure to capture all of the personal details you’ve put into your day and your venue as well.
Where are you based and do you travel?
We are based out of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin and have shot all over the state and Illinois. If you want us to photograph your big day from a longer distance away, we LOVE road trips and LOVE to travel! Just contact us!
When will we get our photos?
We do our absolute best to get your photos back to you quickly so you can relive your big day shortly after the guests have gone home and the candles have all been blown out. While most wedding photographers' turn around time for wedding photo delivery is anywhere from 8 to 12 long weeks, we pride ourselves in being able to deliver your curated gallery is just 2 weeks! It may mean that your album is delivered at 2am when we are finished editing, but we work hard to make sure you get your photos quickly!
How many pictures will we receive?
For 8 hours of wedding day coverage with 2 photographers, you will receive at least 600-800 fully edited images. Each photo that we deliver is edited in our classic style and will include black and white edits as well.
How do we know how many hours we will need to book you for?
You may have a good idea of how many hours you would like to book us for, or you may not! Both are totally okay!
Part of our role is to help you decide how many elements of the wedding day you'd like to have photographed, how many locations you would like us to capture, and how long your wedding day timeline is. We can help you pick a package that works the best for the scope of your wedding as well as stay within your budget.
What if my venue is very dark?
We have shot in the darkest of dark chapels and reception halls so no need to worry! If the venue allows, we will set up auxillary lighting sources as well as use the great light sources on our cameras.
Can I view a full wedding album?
Absolutely! After we meet for our intial consultation, we can send you a full wedding album to get a feel for how many pictures we take and the quality of our work. We love to show you the consistency of our work and wide scope of what we will do on your big day!
How do I know how long formals and couple photos take?
Since we have been photographing weddings together for more than 8 years, we can help you narrow down your wedding day timeline to make for a smoother day. We love to help adjust wedding timelines based on family formals, ceremony time, cocktail hour and dinner time. We typically will sit down with you about a month prior to your wedding to iron out the days's details and make the day as stress free as possible for you. We are definitely used to keeping everyone on time for the day as well!
How will you work with my DJ/wedding coordinator/venue/officiant?
Part of the beauty of having a lot of experience in weddings in the area is that we know a lot of the other vendors! We love working with vendors on keeping your wedding day timeline on track, working behind the scenes to mitigate any "game time" issues, and helping you enjoy your day as much as possible. We love working with and meeting the vendors you chose!
Do you do videography?
While we don't do videography, we do have the abillity to record your ceremony for a small additional fee or can refer you to a list of awesome videographers we have worked with before.
What if we want an engagement session?
If you are thinking about booking your wedding day with us, an engagement session can be a really good way to get a feel for our workflow and how we take photos. We definitely encourage engagement sessions so we can get to know each other before your wedding day.
The cost for an engagement session is $200 and includes unlimited locations and outfit changes within a 60 minute session.

When are fees due for the wedding?
We require a $500 deposit to book your wedding day within a week of the initial consultation and acceptance of your signed contract. This ensures your day is reserved and that nothing else is booked on our end. Then half of the balance is due 6 months prior to the wedding and the remainder is due 1 month prior to the wedding. We want to make your wedding day as seamless as possible so you don't have to be running around paying vendors. We will also remind you about upcoming payments about a week or so in advance of when they are due.
If your wedding is closer than 6 months away, just contact us and we can help with a custom arrangement!
